Rhodes Geography and map


Rhodes is mostly a mountainous island with most flat areas to the north. Rhodes as we can see in a map of Greece located in the south east of Greece in the Aegean sea. Rhodes belongs to the group of the Dodecanese islands. It is the largest of them and has a population of 118.000 people with almost the half of them living in Rhodes town. The island has a surface of 1410 sq km. Its highest mountain is Attavyros. to the north of Rhodes are the small Dodecanese islands of Symi, Tilos and Halki, to the east is the island of Karpathos to the east are the coast of Asia Minor and to the south is the island of Kastelorizo.
